#F1 News: 2015 Spanish Grand Prix - Wallpaper

The fifth wallpaper in The 2015 Series of Victor's Celebrations is for Nico Rosberg who won The Spanish Grand Prix (held at Catalunya). A commanding win by The German...

2014 Spanish WallPaperNotable Points: Nico Rosberg scored the first win of his 2015 Driver's Championship campaign and he did so convincingly. He wasn't threatened whilst holding the lead and it appears that Mercedes AMG has found a new step in performance.

Rosberg sealed Pole Position on Saturday with a time of - 1m24.681s with team mate Lewis Hamilton taking second on the grid. This circuit is not renowned for overtaking and Rosberg's pole time ensured a win if he did not make any mistakes...

Sebastian Vettel demoted Hamilton to third place on the opening lap whilst Rosberg sailed into the lead but the order behind the leader was reversed after the third stops and this proved to be a trying race for the reigning WDC.

Valtteri Bottas led Kimi Raikkonen across the line after an intense battle between the two Finnish drivers. Felipe Massa would finish sixth in the second Williams.

Fernando Alonso retired in this event when a tear-off visor got trapped in his rear brake duct and it would lead to him ending his race on lap 25.

Both Saubers did not score points in Catalunya despite showing both speed and form in the early races.

DETAIL: Nico Rosberg's victory left us wondering whether it will be possible for The German driver to mount a season long challenge for the 2015 World Drivers' Championship. He proved that he has the speed but will Lewis Hamilton return to his winning ways?

Nico Rosberg's progress through the weekend is below:

Driver of the race: We were pleased to see Valtteri Bottas do so well in this event. Rumours are that he may move to The Scuderia Ferrari in 2016 as his contract with Williams comes to an end in 2015. The BIG question is - Does Kimi Raikkonen have the pace to keep his seat at Ferrari...
